Tomato Salsa Dip

My girl is on fire!

And if you add enough chili, you will, too. Or even if you don't, because you'll suddenly bump up your value as a party guest...

I promised no stories though, so let's get to it!

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp oil

  • 2 tomatoes cut in half

  • 2 green chilies sliced in half or chopped (adjust according to your tolerance levels though)

  • Garlic (8-10 cloves)

  • 1 diced onion

  • 1/2 chopped capsicum

  • 1/2tsp red chili powder

  • Salt to taste

Procedure

Because it's not just mixing everything up

  1. Add 2 tbsp oil to a pan on medium flame

  2. Add the tomatoes, chilies, garlic, onion, and capsicum once the oil is hot enough.

  3. Add salt to taste.

  4. Cover the pan for 10 minutes

  5. After said 10 minutes have elapsed, add 2 tablespoons of water to the pan and cover it for another 5 minutes or until the water has evaporated.

  6. Gently press everything using a spatula and cover the pan for another 5 minutes.

  7. Chop everything using a flat spatula or a knife.

  8. Add red chili powder for color and spice

  9. Add a pinch of sugar if the salsa is too sour for you

  10. Taste it and adjust the salt

  11. Let the salsa cool down before you serve it. Enjoy your tacos/nachos/bhajias/whatever else you fancy!
